The Hospital of Antofagasta is the largest and most modern public hospital between Santiago, Chile and Lima, Peru. Inaugurated in 2017, it serves the city of Antofagasta (population 400,000) and the whole region of 1.5 million people. Its infrastructure consists of 3 main buildings of 123,118 m2, including 671 beds, 16 surgical rooms, and 85 exam rooms. The society Salud Siglo XXI administrates the concession contract that ends in 2032. Salud Siglo XXI is controlled by the Spanish company Sacyr.
